Egg Harbor City, N.J.-based Egg Harbor Yachts has purchased Avanti Powerboats. With the purchase, EH adds high-performance powerboats to its five-fleet lineup.
Avanti Powerboats has been manufacturing high-performance pleasure craft and fish boats for more than 20 years. Boats are available in 22, 26, 27, 33 and 39 feet.
"Like our previous acquisitions, this is a new direction for our company," Ira Trocki, owner of EH Yachts said in a statement. "We have the facility, workers and knowledge to build tough, high-performing offshore boats."
Trocki purchased EH Yachts in 1999. In 2001 he added Predator yachts and two years later, he added the Davis line of sports fishers. Topaz Boats was added in October 2005.
