West Palm Beach, FL - The West Palm Beach Fishing Club (WPBFC) has announced its popular topic calendar for 2013 (see attached schedule). The regularly scheduled meetings feature well-known fishing pros who will reveal valuable tips and advice on how and where to catch the area’s most sought after inshore and offshore game fish. “These meetings are mini-seminars that cover all aspects of saltwater sport fishing. We have a diverse group of outstanding anglers and captains scheduled for 2013. They are some of the best in the business and are very generous with their fishing know how. There is always something new to learn when it comes to fishing,” said WPBFC President Tom Twyford. The meetings are held the first and fourth Wednesday of most months at the WPBFC’s historic clubhouse, located at 201 Fifth Street (corner of 5th & North Flagler Drive), in downtown West Palm Beach. Generally, the first Wednesday of each month is dedicated to an inshore/nearshore fishing topic and the fourth Wednesday of the month is reserved for offshore angling topics. Local, regional and nationally recognized fishing experts cover the techniques, locations, baits and tackle that work for them. “Fishing Club meetings also provide a great opportunity to talk with the pros and network with other local anglers. These meetings can really help anglers improve their fishing skills, plus you can usually get some pretty timely fishing reports at the club too. The Fishing Club really fulfills a unique role in the community, there’s not another place like it,” said Twyford.
Non-members are welcome to attend any one of the upcoming meetings to see what the WPBFC has to offer. There is no admission charge for monthly club meetings. Annual membership in the WPBFC costs $75 for adults, $25 for juniors (age 10 - 18) and $15 for pee wee’s (kids up to 9 years old). Family memberships are available for $140. There is a $10.00 processing fee for new members. A WPBFC Lifetime membership costs $1,500.
