In the how-to video below, Lowrance‘s product manager Lucas Steward talks about changing the appearance of a sounder screen to better see structure and fish. He uses the new Lowrance Elite-5 HDI unit to show optimal settings for Broadband Sounder and DownScan Imaging views.

Here’s a little more about the Elite-5 HDI:

HDI stands for Hybrid Dual Imaging, which allows users to view Lowrance’s Broadband Sounder and DownScan imaging technologies on one display. The unit is available as a fish finder/chart plotter combo or as a standalone fish finder or plotter. Anglers can overlay the DownScan Imaging over the Broadband Sounder view for a combined, live comparison. The Elite-5 comes with a high-resolution, 5-inch display and is compatible with Lowrance’s HDI 50/200 kHz skimmer transducer. Prices range from $349 to $699. Call 800-628-4487 or visit lowrance.com.
