Raymarine's newest sounder module - the DSM400 - takes the company's patented HD Digital technology a step further, offering 3 kw power and enabling four independent digital-sonar transceivers to efficiently penetrate depths with multiple frequencies. The module transmits on 28, 38, 50 and 200 kHz frequencies to draw a clear picture of fish and bottom structure with virtually no clutter, Raymarine says. The digital technology literally creates hands-free operation: The unit adapts and automatically adjusts sonar parameters as sea conditions change. Mount the aluminum module belowdecks or inside a console, and pair it with a single multifrequency transducer or two wide-beam transducers and one of Raymarine's G-Series navigation displays to see native resolutions up to 1,280 x 1,024 pixels. The DSM400 also works with E-Series multifunction displays. Compatible speed- and temperature-sensor options are available. Retail cost is $2,795. Call 603-881-5200, or visit www.raymarine.com.
