Lowrance StructureScan

StructureScan shows anglers high-definition images...
100-1009gear lowrance

The angling benefits of side-imaging sonar should not be ignored - benefits such as finding new geography on flats and locating baitballs offshore. Now Lowrance has added even more to the plus column with its StructureScan side- and down-imaging technology built into a black-box module compatible with all HDS multifunction displays. Debuted at press time, StructureScan shows anglers high-definition images (rather than typical 2-D sonar views) of a 5-degree swath of water extending 240 feet to each side of the vessel as well as the real estate directly beneath the transducer. Lowrance accomplishes such coverage using a three-crystal 455/800 kHz transducer mountable to the transom, transom bracket, jack plate or a trolling motor and capable of reading to 300-foot depths. Use StructureScan's DownScan imaging side by side with the HDS Broadband Sounder (and a second skimmer transducer) - without cross-talk interference - to really verify whether you're marking fish, bait or structure. Lowrance's TrackBack tool allows you to scroll back through the imaging records to recheck a spot and then mark it as a  waypoint. StructureScan retails for $599.
