Interphase Technologies has debuted its Chart Master Pro Series GPS/plotter/sounders - the company's first plotter packaged with a built-in dual-frequency, 600-watt color sounder (no separate module required). Choose the iPro, which includes an internal antenna, or the Pro with an external antenna. Both feature 7-inch, 480- x 234-pixel, TFT sunlight-viewable displays with a wide-screen format. The Pros come with a built-in world base map and satellite-photo imagery and will run a range of Jeppesen Marine MAX electronic charts and store up to 500 waypoints. The 50/200 kHz sounder offers a-scope and bottom lock and alarms for shallow water, fish detection and high/low water temperatures. The units measure 9.4 x 5.9 x 2.6 inches and are available with transom-mount or through-hull transducers. The Pro costs $1,299 (including the external antenna), and the iPro costs $1,199.
