Furuno's NavNet 3D system won two of the company's five awards, which included Manufacturer of the Year (Support), at October's National Marine Electronics Association convention. A month later, Furuno introduced its new NavNet 3D fishing charts for the East and West coasts and the Gulf of Mexico in a v. 2.02 software update. The new option combines NavNet 3D power and Time Zero technology to detailed NOAA bathymetric contour charts. Display the charts in top-down or 2-D views, or switch to 3-D. Add color depth shading to better sense the terrain changes. The new fishing charts will come preloaded on all new NavNet 3D MFDs and may be downloaded for free by current NavNet 3D owners.
