FLIR says its new M-Series offers the highest-definition thermal night-vision imagery available to recreational and commercial mariners. The M-626L offers 640x480 resolution with a 26-degree field of view and 2x or 4x zoom. The M-320L features 320x240 resolution and a 20-degree field of view with 2x zoom. In complete darkness, boaters using the high-resolution camera can see details of buoys, boats and breakwaters and clearly pick out a man overboard. The M-Series also incorporates a low-light camera for improved visibility during twilight hours and offers Ethernet connectivity to an onboard monitor or multifunction display.
The cameras come housed in a 7-inch-diameter, 10.9-inch-tall waterproof gimbal enclosure capable of 360-degree panning and 90-degree tilting. The waterproof joystick control unit measures 3.6 inches wide by 5.7 inches high. The M-626L costs $19,995; the M-320L costs $14,995. Call 877-773-3547, or visit www.flir.com.
