As underwater lighting for angling applications gains more advocates among sport-fishing professionals, companies continue to offer innovative ideas. Aqualuma's new TriColor LED uses six lights in one of three different color combinations - blue and white, green and white or blue and green. Anglers can choose to operate either color or both at the same time. Aqualuma says its white LEDs bring schools of squid to the boat; white-and-colored-light combinations attract other kinds of baitfish. Green lights, used more on the East Coast, lure swordies from the depths, while white LEDs tempt curious tunas and sharks. TriColors draw less than 1 amp at 12 volts and 1/2 of an amp at 24 volts; they come housed inside a one-piece polycarbonate shell that's watertight to a depth of 1,300 feet. Installation requires a 3-inch hole, and anglers can service or change their lights from inside the vessel. Retail price is $1,549.99. Call 904-384-9659, or visit www.aqualuma.com.
