Some prey fish emit light, and some predators use light to attract prey. To Norway's Esca Global, designing lures that glow seemed only natural. Esca's Lure Lights blink blue or green when immersed in salt water and can be used in front of a single hook or in tandem with a lure, jig, spinnerbait, or Esca's plastic shrimp or squid bodies. The 1/4-ounce lures are made from gold-coated components, contain no lead and generate their own power from electrolysis; they last for at least 100 hours in the water. When trolling or jigging, attach the Lure Light between the jig and hook. When casting, attach the light between the jig and swivel. Retail cost is $19.99. Choose blue or green, fast- or slow-blink models. Call 631-928-4433, or visit www.escaglobal.com.
