When Silly Putty first came out, kids and adults marveled at its properties. Anglers will likely do the same with Cyber Flex. These soft baits stretch farther than a rubber band and contain no chemicals toxic to living tissue or the environment, according to Wahoo Fishing Products. Scientists originally developed this soft, buoyant material for the medical field, so it had to be compatible with living tissue, corrosion-resistant and flexible enough to contract and expand in its environment. Wahoo molds Cyber Flex into 3- and 4-inch grubs, 5-inch Zips (jerkbait style), and a 4-inch shad imitation called a Fische. All contain oil-based, concentrated amino acids to create fish and shrimp scents. A pack of two grubs with jig heads costs $3.29; a bag of four Zips or two rigged in a pack cost $4.69; and the Fische costs $4.69 and $6.49. Call 239-567-3474.
