WaveSpin Reels has introduced the ultralight DHxL to complement the current three-reel series, which ranges in class from 6- to 14-pound mono or 20- to 60-pound braid. The mighty mite fishes 330 yards of 2-pound mono (or 8-pound braid) up to 160 yards of 6-pound mono (or 20-pound braid). It comes with WaveSpin's patented "wave" spool that allows line to skip from peak to peak along the jagged spool lip. That design, WaveSpin says, eliminates bird's nests and snatchbacks and allows longer casts.
