Super Duper

Braided line technology keeps getting better.
125-Super Duper stren

Braided lines keep evolving as manufacturers address issues such as knot slippage and fraying. With its latest line, dubbed Super Braid, Stren says it has created a new generation of braids that won't flatten or ribbon, will knot perfectly to a leader and won't slip as easily, can work around nasty structure without fraying and still retain that feather-touch sensitivity. Stren's secret involves a new process of fiber impregnation called Advanced MicroBond Technology. The finish permeates and bonds to the line's fibers, creating a small-diameter braid that retains its original round shape, color, slickness and strength much longer than ordinary superlines that use a wax or Teflon coating. Super Braid comes in Lo-Vis Green and Hi-Vis Gold in 125-, 300- and 1,500-yard spools. Line classes include 8, 10, 14, 20, 30, 40, 50, 65, 80 and 130 pound. Retail costs range from $10.99 for a 125-yard spool of 8-pound test up to $124.99 for a 1,500-yard spool of 130-pound. For information, call 800-243-9700 or visit www.stren.com.
