Phase II Lures, maker of handcrafted cedar lures, announces the BigT Surf Needlefish lure, designed for casting or trolling as either a lure or a teaser. The tail-weighted BigT measures 10 inches long, weighs 2 ounces and features a profile that cuts through wind on the cast. In the water, that efficient profile, combined with the lure's ballast, imparts a splashing V-wake. Anglers may also walk the BigT on the surface by varying the retrieve and moving the rod tip. Phase II fitted the cedar lure with 11/2-inch stainless-steel screw eyes in pre-drilled pilot holes cemented for integrity. The 100-pound stainless split ring holds a single 6/0 tail hook with double-layered, double-wrapped bucktail. BigTs come in black/red, chartreuse/red, pink and white/red and cost $25.50.
