Building on the popularity of its Torque lever-drag models, Penn has rolled out a Torque star-drag conventional reel in five sizes - TRQ12 through TRQ40. All offer 25 pounds of max drag. Gear ratios range from 6-to-1 on the smaller reels to 4.8-to-1 on the larger Torques. The reels feature machined- and anodized-aluminum body frames and sideplates, stainless-steel main and pinion gears, seven shielded stainless bearings and Versa-Drag with HT-100 washers. The Live Spindle design lets the spool spin independently from the spindle/pinion gear for ultimate castability.
