Okuma says its new two-speed lever-drag Cavalla reels feature unique helically cut, heat-tempered, stainless-steel gears, which engage more smoothly and securely for greater fish-fighting power. Cavalla's machined, aircraft-quality aluminum frame, spool and side plates have been hard-anodized against corrosion. Drags feature carbon-fiber washers. Okuma  builds five Cavalla models for lines ranging from 15- to 80-pound-test. The lighter two reels feature 2-to-1 and 4.7-to-1 gear ratios, offering capacities of 460 yards of 15-pound mono up to 310 yards of 30-pound mono. The second two offer 1.7-to-1 and 3.8-to-1 ratios and hold 620 yards of 25 up to 400 yards of 50. The largest reel - a 50W - cranks at 1.3-to-1 or 3.2-to-1 and carries 710 yards of 50 or 420 yards of 80. Prices range from $319.99 to $449.99. Call 909-923-2828, or visit www.okumafishing.com.
