Daiwa has added smaller STT20H and STT30H Ultra-High Speed models to its popular Saltist series for use with high-strength braided lines. The conventional reels feature one-piece aluminum frames with four ball bearings and one roller bearing; 6.1:1 gear ratios to take up 36 inches of line per turn; and oversized machined gears to produce optimal cranking power. The drag systems include grease-impregnated and stainless washers for 15.4 pounds of max drag. The 20 weighs 16.5 ounces and holds 210 yards of 20-pound mono or 450 of 40-pound braid.
