Cortland C16 Spliceable Super-braid

Cortland's C16 Spliceable Super-braid, a Spectra trolling line for blue-water fishing, is made from 16 gel-spun polyethylene fibers for a high strength-to-diameter ratio. The C16 features a tight, round braid and uniform pic count (wraps per inch), and Cortland says it won't flatten out or dig into the spool. Hollow-braid construction allows for easy splicing of end loops or monofilament leaders, with almost no loss of line strength between the braid and top shot. Cortland treats the C16 Superbraid with its proprietary FiberTech protection, which improves the line's durability and reduces friction in the guides. FiberTech penetrates the entire braid to ensure the line is completely treated, inside and out. The white C16 Superbraid comes in bulk spools of 600, 1,200 and 2,500 yards in 80-, 100-, 130- and 200-pound-test. Retail prices range from $168.95 to $668.95, depending on spool and line size.
