Big-Game Fishing Tackle

American anglers can easily see the excellence of Alutecnos' products. Made with the finest raw materials...

More than 20 years ago, TMB - parent company for Alutecnos "Ultimate Big Game Fishing Equipment" - began to specialize in making high-quality aluminum components. Building on that technical know-how with determination and investment, Alutecnos was formed in 1991, launching a strong, well-designed line of big-game offshore tackle, dedicated to the most demanding game fishermen around the world.

American anglers can easily see the excellence of Alutecnos' products. Made with the finest raw materials such as 6082 aluminum bar stock and AISI 316 stainless steel, every reel is CNC-machined and subjected to rigorous quality-control standards. All reels feature a patented, infinite antireverse system, five stainless-steel shielded bearings and a unique backplate with four anchoring screws. The drag is made from the latest carbon-composite weave for unmatched smoothness and fish-stopping power. Two-speed models feature a push-button system that makes changing gears quick and simple.

Top and bottom stops have been machined into the sideplate to prevent the lever drag from inadvertently knocking the reel into free-spool. The 12- and 20-pound-class models come in both 4:1 and 6:1 gear ratios without the free-spool stop for quick drop-backs while fishing dead bait or kite fishing.

While the primary focus remains on reel function, aesthetics have not been forgotten. After a process of meticulous polishing, ultrasonic cleaning, anodizing, and laser-applied graphics, Alutecnos reels look as good as they perform.

Capt. Norm Isaacs will tell you that Alutecnos reels are at the top of his list. Capt. Brad Philipps can show two consecutive billfish-release world records, the last being 2,668 sailfish in one year in the Pacific waters off Guatemala.

Alutecnos has applied lightweight aluminum technology to removable roller guides, stand-up rods, trolling rods - straight and curved butts - fighting belts and our new Mako pliers. They have also carefully designed a full line of big-game accessories that include new tackle bags, Pro soft-bucket harness, kidney harness and fighting jackets. Alutecnos' goal is to provide a full range of top-quality big-game tackle. Alutecnos creates masterpieces for the art of fishing - The ultimate in big-game equipment.
