Accurate Fishing, maker of high-end reels, has designed a new rod series for braid - Xnergy Rods - that features a "floating fulcrum." Normally, the fulcrum point occurs at the foregrip on a fully loaded rod. However, with Xnergy rods, the fulcrum point moves back toward the angler as he applies more pressure. The rods continue to deliver parabolic pull even after the rod fully loads. Xnergy rods feature six-ply graphite/glass construction and come in three styles: Boss Series with Aero guides (SiC inserts) in 30- to 100-pound braid classes; Accurate Jigging rods (three spin; three conventional) with Fuji SiC guides in 30- to 100-pound braid classes and lengths of 5 feet, 8 inches; 6 and 6 1/2 feet; and 7-foot SR spinners with Fuji guides in 30- to 80-pound braid classes. Retail prices range from $155 to $259. Call 800-222-8372, or visit www.accuratefishing.com.
