The slightly heavier (5.6-ounce) 8-inch pliers were built to chomp on cable and supersize braids. Accurate constructed the cutter blades and gripping jaws with lightweight, 400C heat-treated stainless steel, while the plier bodies are made from aircraft-grade, 6061-T6 aluminum stock with a natural satin-platinum finish. Available options include a molded-nylon sheath and a self-coiling lanyard. Retail cost is $135.95 for the 7-inch Piranhas; $149.95 for the 8-inch model.
