Fans of Rugged Shark shoes will be pleased to know that SGFootwear, a century-old company, has bought the brand and is introducing several styles, including the new Portsmouth Performance Sandal. Rugged Shark says this sandal may be used with stocking-foot waders or as a boat or walking shoe. It features a high-traction outsole with Rugged Shark's Shark Grip bottom. Portsmouth's midsole/foot bed is molded from a single layer of lightweight Phylon (compressed EVA pellets, according to several sources). The sandals feature a three-strap harness system, and the adjustable straps are made with oily nubuck leather and nylon-covered neoprene.
