GoPro made a real splash among water-sports photographers in 2009 with its HD HERO video cameras. Late last year, the company introduced its HD HERO2, a second-generation camera that’s twice as powerful as the original. The HERO2 shoots 1080p HD video and 11-megapixel stills. The camera’s new processor delivers the additional power, and the redesigned wide-angle lens takes full advantage, providing ultrasharp imaging, GoPro says. The HERO2 captures up to 10 11-megapixel photos per second and comes with an LCD interface. Available in several packages — including various mounting systems and a waterproof housing — the HERO2 costs $299.99. Call 888-600-4659, or visit www.gopro.com.
