Garmin Thermal-Imaging and Low-Light Cameras

Garmin announced a new family of thermal-imaging and low-light cameras that pan, tilt and zoom, enhancing visibility any time of day. The low-light GCL 20 ($3,499.99) specializes in dawn, dusk and light-fog viewing. The thermal cameras — the high-resolution (640×480) GCT 30 and low-resolution (384×288) GCT 20 — help anglers see in total darkness. All three may be controlled from compatible Garmin plotters and come with NMEA 2000 connectivity. If a heading sensor is on board, the cameras can track objects like AIS targets selected on the chart or radar screen. GCT cameras cost $8,995.99 and $13,995.99.
