Lowrance increased the processing speed and added StructureMap view — a tool to overlay StructureScan sonar images on a chart — for its second-generation “Gen2” HDS multifunction displays. In fact, the Gen2 models offer double the memory of the original units as well. When anglers pair the display with the LSS-1 StructureScan Sonar Imaging module, they can activate StructureMap and overlay images directly on a chart, or create and save charts of their favorite areas. Available in 5-, 7-, 8- and 10-inch models, and in fish finder, chart plotter and fish-finder/chartplotter combos, the Gen2s cost $549 to $2,449. Call 8006284487, or visit www.lowrance.com.
