Have you noticed lately how far away you have to hold hooks to thread mono through the eyes? If your close-up vision has changed that much, you're most likely a baby boomer and you need "readers." Joining a short list of sunglass companies that have added readers to their lineups, Maui Jim introduces bifocal versions of the Ho'okipa (pictured in black) and Makaha Sport styles. The magnifying portion of the lens is encased in polycarbonate and positioned to optimize distance views while allowing you to work up close. Both frames are available with neutral gray or HCL bronze lenses with PolarizedPlus2 technology, which reduces glare and protects against UV radiation. Order powers +1.50, +2.00 or +2.50 in gloss-black or Grilamid TR90 (bendable) frames. Retail cost is $199. Call 888-MAUI-JIM or visit www.mauijim.com.
