The 37-ounce XPs are waterproof to 30 feet, pressurized with nitrogen to 7 psi and available with a magnetic compass.

Steiner introduces high-definition optics and nano-protection coatings to its new 7x50 Commander XP Marine Binoculars. A new lens-polishing process and fully multicoated optics yield the highest light transmission, optic resolution and color fidelity available on a handheld marine binocular, Steiner says. The nano-protection coatings repel water and condensation. The 37-ounce XPs are waterproof to 30 feet, pressurized with nitrogen to 7 psi and available with a magnetic compass. Other features include the Sports Auto-Focus system, which allows a mariner to scan an entire seascape without readjusting focus, and three pairs of eyecups, including one for users who wear prescription lenses. The XP's field of view is 390 feet at 1,000 yards. Retail costs are $880 and $1,050 (XP with compass). Call 800-257-7742 or visit www.steiner-binoculars.com.
