Shimano Trinidad A - ICAST Winner Saltwater Reel
Shimano calls its new Trinidad A series a major upgrade of the company's classic star-drags. The chrome-colored reels weigh less because of a smaller, machined aluminum frame yet now offer the XShip gear support system to enhance gear efficiency, power and smoothness. Three models - 10A, 12A and 14A - offer a 6.3-to-1 gear ratio. The 16A, 16NA (narrow spool), 20A and 30A feature 6.2-to-1 ratios and retrieve 46 inches of line per crank. Capacities range from 245 yards of 30-pound braid to 1,015 yards of 50-pound. All feature Shimano's Dartainium II woven carbon-fiber drags. Retail prices range from $449.99 to $499.99.
