I recently went up to Trenton, FL where the Gilchrist Club is located and participated in their Media Symposium which my good friend Leiza Fitzgerald produced. I arrived in the early evening and was shuttled to a lodge where I stashed my things. All photos by Drew Townes

Chris Peterson with Hell’s Bay Boatworks brought over one of his beautiful skiffs for display and use during the symposium which we promptly set up just outside their main building.

Leiza called for an orientation prior to dinner to introduce everyone and get them up to speed on all the activities planned throughout the next couple of days.

We were in good hands through out the Symposium, these gals were great.

The next morning was beautiful! It was a perfect 38 degrees and we all gathered prior to the hunt for a group photo.

My morning shoot was excellent, with at least 20 quail and 3 pheasants credited.

We went back to the our lodge to refresh after the shoot and I got a much clearer view of the grounds and lodging. Incredibly comfortable.

Each lodge where we stayed had a great room and was well appointed.

After our hunt we gathered at the dinner table again for another fine meal at lunch time.

I had to take off afterwards due to a previous commitment, but the rest of the folks enjoyed shooting sporting clays, fishing and another hunt. It was a first class Media gathering as well as an incredible experience for me! One which I hope to enjoy again. My thanks to all the fine folks at the Gilchrist Club for arranging this first class experience, especially Leiza Fitzgerald, as she was a great host and organizer.
