Gulf Oil Spill

Louisiana tournament director Steve Thomas was recently invited on a U.S. Coast Guard flyover of the Deepwater Horizon spill area in the Gulf of Mexico. Here is a bit of what he saw and his thoughts on the ever-growing disaster.

"In particular, what I noticed was the massive amount of oil and oil/dispersant on the top of the water - some of it was reddish orange in color and some had a rainbow-like sheen. As I have fished the Deepwater Horizon rig many times, it literally turned my stomach to see that much oil in the Gulf of Mexico."
