A common sight in April: A captain standing atop his leaning post scanning the waters just off the beach from Jekyll Island, Georgia. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of tripletail mysteriously congregate in these shallows each spring and float on their sides at the water's surface - nowhere near buoys or structure. Anglers cast live shrimp, artificials and flies to coax the fish into eating.
