Lowrance has unveiled three touch-screen GPS handhelds in its new Endura line; all are capable of supporting marine maps. The $229.99 Out&Back (pictured) comes preloaded with a base map and offers downloadable mapping options as well as support for shared Web-community content and plug-in microSD cards. The $384.99 Safari combines advanced mapping ability with a trip computer, electronic compass and barometric altimeter; it also comes preloaded with a base map and supports microSD cards and downloadable maps. The $549 Sierra features a high-accuracy 3-D digital compass and barometric altimeter; it comes preloaded with high-detail topographic maps and contains 4 GB of internal memory. All units include a microSD expansion slot that supports up to 32 GB of storage for mapping, pictures and MP3 audio files; they come housed in rubberized armor and run on two AA batteries.
