Miami skipper's videocamera offers rare glimpse into the nocturnal rip-off artists' activities.
Earlier this month, I shared an Alabama TV-news video showing hundreds of dead, floating red snapper, the result of federal rules requiring removal of non-producing rigs and allowing that via explosives.
“Oh my God! Unbelievable! Holy s--t! This is incredible!” That’s what you’ll hear in this video — and if anything, it's understatement. You have to see this: It’s what we (we being serious saltwater anglers) all live for, wait for, dream of: a balls-out take-no-prisoners feeding frenzy with scores of yellowfin (some big yellowfin) trying to make like flyingfish. Keep watching and see some underwater footage of the whole frenetic scene — that includes porpoise, sharks, jacks and more, as well as yellowfin.
What to expect when at Big Lake!
Federal rules will end longlining after second false killer whale hooked.
This seemed to be the morning for cool videos from Down Under; I wanted to share the three I received this morning showing great action with marlin and more on Australia’s central and southeastern coast. The first, from fishingworld.com, offers a look at kayak fishing for both stripes and blacks (and offers some memorable tortured-drag sequences). The angler filmed his exciting moments just off Sydney.
On March 9, one week before they’ll organize hundreds of volunteers, group leaders for the massive effort to clean up Puerto Rico’s urban lagoons held a planning meeting.
