Grady-White's Shelley Tubaugh, vice president of marketing, walked me through three new "transformer-style" innovations that the company has designed for several of its center and dual-console fishing boats. The Canyon 376 center console now comes with a new V-berth design that features an electric seatback/bolster. In the down position, the seatback creates a couch; raised, it exposes a berth that measures more than 6 feet long.
Aboard the Freedom 375, Tubaugh demonstrated the new Air View2 sun roof with three layers of protection: an electric open/close glass piece and manually open/close screen and shade. She also showed the electric aft-facing bench seat that actuates with a flip of a switch to extend a cushioned lounge on the port side — perfect comfort for watching a trolling spread.
