Mamba 350 Catamaran

If you're looking to run offshore on days only much larger boats dare to take on, the Mamba 350 awaits.

Some people feel that powercats are unattractive, but the Mamba 350 has gained instant acceptance as one of the best-looking multihulls on the market. Some cats lean outboard in a turn, making for an unexpected and unnaturally insecure feeling. The Mamba leans into a turn just like a monohull. Most catamarans run exceptionally well in rough water, and the Mamba poses no exception. Cats often suffer a very short roll moment with abrupt transitions. The Mamba rides smoother trolling and drifting in a beam sea than many.

As if a multihull isn't inherently a great ride already, Mamba introduces another leap forward in catamaran technology - hydrofoil assistance. South African naval architect Karl Gunter Hoppe's Hysucraft design incorporates a hydrofoil plane between the hulls that adds dynamic stability. In addition, it provides added lift to the hulls, which equates to less wetted surface, less drag, and improved speed and fuel economy.

Tests have shown the Mamba 350 equipped with twin 300 hp outboards cruises comfortably at 35 mph while burning a mere 18 gph and tops out at somewhere around 58 mph. Even at wide-open throttle, the Mamba consumes less than 45 gph!

Mamba consists of biaxial and triaxial fiberglass laminated with vinylester resin, a solid bottom and Divinycell-cored topsides.

This hydrofoil design currently enjoys favor among government and law-enforcement agencies worldwide - wherever they need to go fast safely in rough waters. So if you're looking to run offshore on days only much larger boats dare to take on, the Mamba 350 awaits.
