Suzuki DF250 AP V6 Outboard Engine

The 4.0-liter engine runs on blends of up to 20 percent ethanol

Suzuki’s DF250 AP has debuted as the first V-6 outboard designed to operate on gasoline containing more than 10 percent ethanol. The 4.0-liter engine runs on blends of up to 20 percent ethanol. A sensor in the fuel filter also warns of water in the gas. Other key features include a heavy-duty streamlined lower unit, selective right- or left-hand rotation, electronic throttle and shift, and lean-burn technology for greater fuel efficiency. The outboard tips the scale at 604 pounds (25-inch shaft), carries a three-year limited warranty and costs $24,750. Call 714‑572‑1490 or visit suzukimarine.com.
