Mercury 150 hp Outboard

The 3.0-liter, four-cylinder in-line configuration offers more displacement than similar models in its class

Mercury unveiled a new four-stroke 150 hp outboard at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in late October, calling it the ultimate EFI outboard for boaters seeking durability with light weight and fuel efficiency. The 3.0-liter, four-cylinder in-line configuration offers more displacement than similar models in its class, Mercury says. The 455-pound outboard weighs just 24 pounds more than the Optimax 150 two-stroke. Available in 20- and 25-inch shaft models, the 150 features a 1.92-to-1 gear ratio, and its alternator generates 60 amps. Cost is $13,060. Call 9209295040 or visit www.mercurymarine.com.
