The product, available to consumers in July, works with new Verado 250 and 300 outboards.
Yamaha introduced its four-cylinder F200 in late October at the same time it rolled out the new joystick/Helm Master system to fishing and boating writers. While the Helm Master dominated the presentation, the new F200 certainly deserves mention.

Lehr’s revolutionary new outboards — introduced this February in 2.5 and 5 hp models — use the same fuel as a gas barbecue grill. Hook one up to a propane tank or pop in a 16.4ounce Coleman-style cylinder. SF’s Pacific Coast Editor Jim Hendricks tested these fourstroke tiller outboards and found them easy to start with one pull; they ran as fast and smoothly as gas models. The 5 hp outboard comes in 15- or 20inch shaft models, weighs 49.6 to 52.8 pounds (slightly lighter than gas OBs) and costs $1,919.99 to $1,955.99.
