Catching’s Too Easy: Try Hand-Feeding!

What might be more exciting than catching cobia? Hand-feeding baitfish to ’em! Watch as big hungry cobes swarm boatside like flippers at Sea World to snatch fish right from the hands of Capt. Tommy Pellegrin off the central Louisiana coast.

This could be the start of a whole new sport — thanks in large part to the ubiquitous little sealed video cameras on many boats — hand-feeding fish! Who needs to catch ‘em? Heck, maybe even Pew would cut us some slack on that one. Quite a few folks have hand-fed bluefin and yellowfin tuna. IGFA could have a new record category for size of fish successfully hand-fed. I’ll let someone else do the honors when big bluefish are around the boat, though.
