This knot is a Portuguese big game knot called AÇORIANO KNOT used in sportfishing game in Algarve-Portugal more than 15 years ago and other vertion in Azores Islands more than 100 years ago.Sure in not an Australian knot.
Is also published some sporfishing magazine articles with the Açoriano knot some 10 years ago.
