VIDEO: Deepwater Pacific Fish Sports Transparent Head, Black Body

I know this National Geographic video (below) is not brand new. But while it has had its share of viewers, I was not one of them. This might just be the most funny-looking fish I’ve ever seen. Not only is its head transparent, but its eyes and puckered mouth make it look cartoonish.
Meet the barreleye fish, seen alive for the first time in 2009 by scientists from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI). Dead samples of this 6-inch-long fish were originally found and classified in 1939, but this little guy gave scientists a look at the whole, live specimen.
