ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — Luhrs Corporation today announced Sun Country Marine of Ontario, CA, has joined its retail network as the exclusive Luhrs dealer for its line of offshore fishing yachts in southern California.

The family owned dealership includes three locations in southern California, but Luhrs will be sold exclusively from the Dana Point Yacht Center location due to its coastline geography and proximity to the offshore fishing market.

"We chose Sun Country Marine because of its excellent reputation for customer service," said Don Smith, dealer development manager for Luhrs Marine. "Customer service is extremely important to Luhrs, and we believe Sun Country Marine offers the best service in the southern California market."

Sun Country has been the world's largest Chaparral dealer for 13 years consecutively, and is one of the area's largest service dealership with 15 service bays, 20 full-time employees and a mobile marine service. Its Dana Point location includes a 2,000-square-foot facility overlooking a public marina, with 20 slips leased as part of its in-water showroom.

"We are looking forward to a great relationship with Luhrs," added Dan Holliday, manager for Sun Country's Dana Point store. "Luhrs' brand recognition is strong, and it will fit into our program as our only inboard large sportfisher line."

According to Holiday, Sun Country will carry Luhrs inventory on display in-water that includes the 28 Open on up to the new 41 Convertible and Open models. The dealership has hired a veteran sportfishing boat salesperson to sell the line, and will handle service through manufacturer service contracts and in-house staff.
