From each issue, one letter of no more than 300 words will be declared "pick of the letters" by an independent judge — an author and retired professor of communications (PhD in English) from a major university.
We offer no specific criteria to guide your pen: Just speak your mind! Your letter may be memorable for any number of reasons, which may include its eloquence, persuasive power, humor or irony. It may be critical or complimentary, pro or con.
The judge need not necessarily agree with a viewpoint to consider it his pick. (And, by the way, your letters should be about the magazine/its content or fishing and anything related — but not about fishfinders!). If your letter is chosen, you'll be contacted to recieve your Garmin 300C fish finder. Get a look at its sunlight-readable color display and you'll be hooked. The 300C features a high-performance sonar receiver, dual beam transducer for exceptional coverage in shallow water, plus Ultrascroll for lightning-fast screen redraws.
