SeaVee engineered a prop pocket for this single inboard, dropping the effective draft from 42 inches to 28 inches while also decreasing the angle of the shaft. A flatter shaft angle directs the thrust much closer to parallel to the water's surface, making the boat more efficient. Read that as higher speed for the same rpm. That shaft angle also allows a flatter running angle, creating a smoother ride.
The 340 series boasts a PVC-cored hull consisting of vacuum-bagged fiberglass cloth and vinylester resins for maximum strength-to-weight ratios and unsurpassed barriers to osmotic blistering. A 231¼2-degree deadrise at the transom assures a smooth re-entry when launching off oncoming waves. This same hull is rated for triple 300-hp outboards so you know that it's built to take offshore abuse. With the single or twin diesel power, you won't go as fast, but you can feel doubly secure.
The low, midship placement of the inboard diesel(s) creates a lower center of gravity for excellent stability. Range at 30 knots with a 440-hp diesel approaches 600 miles. A 540-hp diesel and twin 440s are also available.
Fishing features include up to three baitwells, along with electric-reel outlets under the gunwales, and you can add up to 18 rod holders in the expansive gunwales and foredeck.
Belowdecks, the cuddy provides a concealed head, sleeping accommodations for four and a dinette with a freshwater sink. You can also opt for a generator, air conditioning and a small galley.
