Quantum's Blue Runner conventional and line-counter reels incorporate a new design focusing on power and durability. The conventional reels feature a metal frame, oversize ratchet-and-pawl antireverse, two stainless-steel ball bearings and a multistack drag. The spool is made of forged aluminum, and the reel offers a single gear ratio of 4.2:1. The BRT20NW carries 360 yards of 20-pound test, and the BRT30NW holds 430 yards of 20-pound. The line-counter reels are identical except for the counting mechanism housed in a durable case on the side of the reel. Conventional reels retail for $49.99 to $54.99, and line counters cost $49.99.
