wintertime bonefishing in the Keys

get a late start...

The cooler air temps have dropped the water temps down to the mid 70's.. but the bonefishing has stayed strong, especially if the sun is out all morning to heat up the water. Mornings have been a bit slow.. but if you fish quiet water, with little current and lots of sunshine, you'll find the fish. We had better responses this week with clousers.. my crab flies and toads didn't generate the interest we need for a bite. In the backcountry, the snook and redfish are up in the quiet lees of shorelines.
