South Carolina Fishing Report

Stealth is the key

The weather has improved immensely over the past week, bringing the h2o temps up 7 degs. in 5 days!! While most of the fish are more active, some are just more easily spooked. Stealth is the key, long leaders (12+ ft.), small (#2-4) flies will improve your odds. Finding a smaller school off the beaten path will pay tremendous dividends as the larger, more communal, schools have been pounded by anglers and dolphins alike. Returned to such a school today after "resting" it since December, found happy, tailing reds without a care in the world!!
