The month of April has seemed to be a month of transition for the local redfish. The months of fishing artifical baits have quickly passed. Blue crab and mullet have been more productive than anything else. Some days you'll catch five or six redfish and some days you'll catch over ten. Menhaden have moved in to the Charleston area, so things fishing should get better and more consistent. The larger trouts have been around in the late March and can be targeted through late June.
