Sept. Striper fishing and bluefin tuna

Things are looking good.....

The fall run for striped bass here in Maine is just around the corner and things should be good. We have started to see big schools of "peanut" bunker off the coast, they should move inshore within a week or two. Around the same time the stripers will be in the process of schooling up for the fall run...when these two things come together the fishing will be hot. We normally see large surface feeds right through the morning hours...something not to be missed !!
On the bluefin tuna front we have had a great bite that has put us into flyrod fish in the 50-100lb class. Some amazing stuff to see, we usually will have tuna right into the middle of Sept. so if you have ever thought about trying these brutes on fly give us a call.
Tight lines, -Capt. John Ford
