Cabo Fishing Report July 9

red hot action

The Blues are here and are in close, Numerous fish over 250lbs were hooked and released within five miles of the arch. Up the East Cape Yellowfin Tuna are in abundance and the hardcore fisherman are being treated with a steady late afternoon bite from the big boys. The larger Yellowfin are not so fond of the noise produced in the early hours by the bulk of the fleet on the normal eight hour days. The guys sticking around an extra hour or two or the lucky few that late start due to the all to common Cabo hangover are seeing the fish rise again and feed aggressively in the last few hours of light. This is well worth the wait, these conditions make for one of a kind opportunities on the water, stick close to Cabo and try to release a big Marlin in the beginning of the charter and then pick up and run mid afternoon, this puts you on the Gordo as all the other vessels are returning to port. We will follow this trend and let you know how we come out!! Tight Lines
